  • What to do when a Client’s Core Measurements Change.

Has your client’s body changed over time? Are you uncertain on how to update his Product Profiles to reflect these changes? Is you client missing core measurements altogether? Explore below to find answers to all your measurement questions.

    Updating Core Measurements

After measuring your client in person, you will need to manually update each of his product profiles.

    • Option 1: For small measurement changes the existing profile can be manually adjusted without using T.A.P.E
        1. Go to client measurement and fit page. Under each category click “EDIT” on existing profile.
        2. When profile opens the clients new measurements will be reflected with his previous finished measurements.
          Updated core measurements

          3. Toggle up or down to update the finished measurements to reflect the Client’s fit preference.

    • Option 2: For large measurement changes we recommend creating a new profile using the T.A.P.E fit quiz within the product profile.
      1. Go to client measurement & fit page. Under each category, create a new profile using the “add Profile” button.
      2. T.A.P.E will automatically pull the new core measurements into the profile. Utilize the “Launch T.A.P.E. Assitant button to confirm your client’s fit preference and generate a new fit recommendation.

In Green room under Training and Resources we have the T.A.P.E. Calculator. This tool allows you to enter your client’s new weight and RTW measurements using the Pre-Appointment survey.

    1. At the end of the calculator a new set of measurements will be predicted.
    2. Compare these measurements to client’s previous core measurements to determine the areas he may have changed size. Update core measurements as needed.
    3. After making any updates, follow steps for updating each product profile with the new measurements.

    T.A.P.E Calculator

Ideally, when an existing client has no core measurements, you should follow one of the previous methods for updating his core. Without core measurements, T.A.P.E. can’t predict new profiles and .com will not correctly link to the client’s Green Room for sending orders.  If it is not possible to have the client scan or meet in person, you can manually enter his answers into the Pre-appointment survey on the core measurements page and T.A.P.E. will predict measurements for him.

The client’s tear sheet will always contain information on how a product was ordered. Even if a product profile or core measurements are updated the information on the tear sheet will stay the same. A client’s previous shirt orders have the most measurement information and are a great way to view previous core measurements.

The Leg Opening adjustment will be automatically recommended based on the client’s core measurements and fit preference. Utilize the tool tip to determine the finished leg opening measurement.

T.A.P.E.™ will recommend Extended or Extended Plus trousers based on Client’s core measurements

Extended Plus trousers have a shorter back rise than Extended. Both trouser fits have the same hip and leg opening. Utilize tool tips to view finished garments measurements.

At J.Hilburn we embrace technology as part of the stylist tool box. With that in mind we created J.Hilburn Virtually measured, our proprietary App which digitally scans your client from the comfort of his home using his cell phone.

    Table of Contents

    Why Scan?

The Virtually Measuring App  is one of the three measuring methods we have at J.hilburn along with T.A.P.E 2.0 and manual measuring. Which measurement method is best depends on many factors.

The VMA is a great tool to use with remote Client’s. Utilize it together with T.A.P.E. 2.0 to get the most accurate measurements at a distance

Use the VMA to update measurements for an existing client. When reviewing the scan you can chose which measurements to update and which to leave the same.

Connecting Your Client to the App

Any J.Hilburn client can use the app to scan himself. Utilize the app to measure a new client or confirm measurements for an existing Client

Send your client the app thru his Green Room Homepage using the Share Measuring App button.

You will be prompted to share by email or text message. View Email Here  The Text message option will text your Client a link to download the app.

Troubleshooting Client Challenges with the VMA

This error is most likely occurring because your client has not utilized the Activation Email. After verifying his email in the sign up process, the client must exit the app and open his inbox to find the J.Hilburn activation email. Once clicking “Activate” within the email he will be redirected to the app and prompted to enter his password. After entering his password, he is ready to begin the scan process.

Confirm that your Client is using the same email for the VMA as he is using for his Green Room. Sharing the app thru Green Room auto-populates the correct email in the app for him. However it is still possible for you Client to change his email within the app causing a mismatch with Green room preventing the scan from importing.

Most likely your client is attempting to “Log In” instead of “Sign up”. Remind him that his J.Hilburn.com account is different from his Virtual Measuring App account and that he will need to create a new account for the app.

    Scanned Measurements

You can view your Client’s scanned measurements by clicking EDIT next to his core measurements on his measurement and fit page. There will be a Load Virtual Scan button on his core measurement page. After clicking the button his scan measurements will be shown in yellow.

To update your Client’s core measurements with the scan measurements, utilize the toggles to update each exisiting measurement point where needed. Click Save at the bottom of the screen to save any changes you have made.

Once you client has scanned, his new scan will pop up on your Green room hompage in the VMA widget.
