To help ensure your client receives his order promptly, please make sure you are following the best practices listed below when placing an order so that we can provide our Clients with the best service possible.
Before submitting the order, verify with Client the current shipping address. We don’t want the package delivered to an old address.
- If shipping to a business address include Company Name or Suite Number. We don’t want the package delayed due to missing information.
Following these quick and easy steps will ensure the best experience for your Client.
Critical Reminder for All Stylists!
To ensure everything runs smoothly in the Stylist App, it’s vital that you’re always on the latest version. The current version is 1.5.8.
To check your version:
- Open the app homepage.
- Tap your name/photo in the top right corner.
- The version number is at the bottom of the pop-up.
- If you need to update, go to the app store immediately!
Staying updated ensures the app functions correctly for your business!
We’ve identified an issue with the School of Style’s automated training assignment system. Typically, after completing all courses in the “Getting Started” learning path, the “Ramping Up” training should automatically be assigned, followed by the “Advanced Stylist Education” upon completion of “Ramping Up.” However, this automation is currently not functioning as expected. We are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, you may have received 1-2 notifications from the School of Style regarding the assignment of “Ramping Up,” “Advanced Stylist Education,” or potentially both, depending on your training progress and 100% completion of the “Getting Started” training.
Once the system is corrected, all new Stylists joining J.Hilburn will automatically be assigned the following learning paths in the School of Style at once:
- Getting Started Training
- Ramping Up Training
- Advanced Stylist Education
As a reminder, you have full access to these learning paths, along with a variety of additional resources for both new and existing Stylists in the School of Style Learning Library.

Fall is here – and the holidays are just around the corner! We strongly encourage you to place your holiday orders as early as possible. For any clients wishing to place gift orders for the holidays, please refer to the order cut-off dates below. These dates are being offered as guidelines NOT as guarantees. If your clients order by these dates, it is more likely that they will receive their orders in time for the holidays.
Following the cadence of our annual calendar, we are reminding you that at the end of the month, September 2024, we will remove all Spring/Summer 2024 product from our website, j.hilburn.com. You can continue to sell the Spring/Summer product through the Green Room and Stylist App from October 1 until sold out.
Spring/Summer 2024 Keylooks and product photography will be removed from the website as part of this seasonal change with the current seasonal collection, carryover, and essential products continuing to be showcased on the website.
As you may have seen on the news, Vietnam is recovering from a recent typhoon. There is still serious flooding in Hanoi where our VTG factory is located, making it difficult for some factory workers to get to work. There is also some congestion at the UPS hub in Vietnam.
Given these uncertain conditions, we have extended the lead time by 3 days for Shirts, Knits, and Casual Pants. We are also turning off Fast Pass for Shirt, Knits, and Pants through the end of September.
We will continue to work closely with our factory partners and with UPS to monitor the situation and will provide you with any new updates.
We would like to bring your attention to a discrepancy in the QC data for Layering Vests. Currently, the values in the “Ordered Length” and “Expected Length” columns are incorrect in the Manufacturer Quality Data window. However, the “Actual Length” column is correct and accurately reflects the length of the vest produced by the factory.
We are working to resolve this issue and expect it to be corrected within the next few weeks.

- Fit Profile Management: We’re pleased to introduce fit profile management for the “Casual Pants” category. You can now manage fit profiles for Shirts, Trousers, Sportcoats, Knits and Chino/Shorts, Pull-on Pants, and 5-Pockets.

The Learning & Development team provides a weekly report every Monday to Mentors and Regional Sales Directors, specifically tailored to new Stylists in their Fast Start Period (the first 90 days post-enrollment). Each report is personalized for both the Stylist and Mentor, offering clear, actionable guidance.
The reports include:
- Updates on the Stylist’s training progress.
- Direct links to key resources, such as the Measurement Certification calendar.
- Suggested next steps for Mentors.
- Essential reference materials (e.g., New Stylist Success Formula and School of Style).
- Seasonal and program-specific content.
Impact of the L&D Concierge
So far, 85 Stylists have accelerated their training, Measurement Certification and first sale with the help of L&D Concierge reports. Expect these weekly reports to continue guiding your Mentorship progress.
J.Hilburn is all about Community and Connecting! We will be holding a monthly call for all stylists who have been with J.Hilburn for a year or less.
On this call, you will have an opportunity to:
- Get to know other new stylists from across the country
- Hear from guest speakers (Home office staff and Field Leaders)
- Share ideas and solicit ideas from others on how to launch your business and be successful in your first year!
- Get your questions answered
