This fall, we are launching several fit updates for Outerwear Jackets, Suiting and Fashion Vests, and the Relaxed Chino. Please watch the short video below covering each of these updates.
In the latest Simon Says blog, Simon shares highlights from the new Collection launch, with a focus on key style updates and the inspiration behind them. This season blends menswear tradition with modern tailoring, introducing a new relaxed chino silhouette and a reimagined fashion vestwith updated details and fit. Shirting also sees fresh touches like new button colors and jacquard placket tapes. These changes reflect Stylist and Client feedback, aiming to keep the collection current, customizable, and relevant for every client.
We have experienced some colored shading issues on the Fall 2025 Shirting item AL249. Because of this quality issue, Albini will be replacing the fabric. However, this will delay the fabric’s availability until Pre-Spring. Providing the highest quality products is of the utmost importance to maintain our brand in the marketplace. We appreciate your understanding of the need for this delay.
We know you are excited about the new buttons available in the Fall 2025 Collection. When we shipped the new buttons, as part of your Fall 2025 Sales Tools package, we did not include the Velcro to adhere the new samples to your button display. But, good news! Velcro has been shipped this week, so you should receive it shortly. And, even better news – We are in the process of developing a new button card that will have room for all the new button options. We’ll update you when it becomes available.
Please reach out to the Stylist Success Team for assistance if you have any questions.

At Conference, Simon announced our partnership with our new PR firm, LGC. We are very excited to be working with LGC to increase J.Hilburn’s visibility in media. We know you are too, however, we want to remind you that LGC is engaged to work with J.Hilburn’s Home Office teamto represent the brand as a whole, not with individual Stylists.

Great news for Stylists with Clients that live in Massachusetts! The MA Sales Tax Holiday is happening next weekend – Saturday, August 10 & Sunday, August 11 – and it’s the perfect time to drive sales with your Clients.
Here’s what you need to know:
What: Massachusetts tax-free weekend applies to most retail items up to $2,500.
When: Saturday, August 10 – Sunday, August 11.
Why it matters: Your clients can save 6.25% in sales tax on eligible purchases – that’s a great incentive to invest in custom or RTW pieces for fall.
Important: The shipping address on the order must be in Massachusetts for it to qualify for the tax exemption.
We’ll be sending a client-facing email out this Saturday, August 2nd to promote the Tax-Free Weekend, but now is the time to reach out personally to your Clients and:
Offer a quick wardrobe refresh or fitting appointment
Suggest higher-ticket items (suiting, outerwear, etc.) they’ve been considering
Encourage them to take advantage of the tax savings before the weekend ends
We’ll also host a brief Zoom touch-base to talk strategy, answer questions, and share ideas on how to make the most of the weekend:
Let’s turn this into a big weekend for you and your Clients. As always, if you need support or have questions, Deb Scanlan and the Stylist Support team are here to help!
Custom samples have returned to the Stylist Store online! We temporarily removed them from the online store while we utilized some of the inventory for a live Stylist Store during Conference last week, but they are now back online. We sold a lot of custom samples at Conference, but there are still plenty available for sale. Go to the Stylist Store and see what’s there today!

He noted that one of the strengths of J.Hilburn is the Stylist community and their diverse backgrounds and talents. Speaker: Interim CEO Beth Putman Williams – Conference Overview / New Leadership Team Introductions / Address: Making It Better For You
Interim CEO Beth Putman Williams thanked the Stylist Insights Group for their contributions to this year’s Conference and noted how they advised the Home Office team on areas of focus for the event, including workshop topics and speaker selection.
To introduce the Restyled theme, Beth reflected on quotes about change from Benjamin Franklin, Greek philosopher Heraclitus, President John F. Kennedy, and writer Isaac Asimov. She noted that the Client Value Proposition (CVP), “Making it easy for men to dress well and feel great,” remains a guiding star.
New leadership introductions included: Diana Aziz (Chief Commercial Officer), Nate Lucas (CTO and PMO), Brian Timmer (VP of Technical Services), Winnie Lam (VP of Merchandise Planning), Will Quiñonez (VP of Finance), and Dominique Hamson (Director of Stylist Success). Each was introduced with information about their professional backgrounds and fun facts about their personal lives. Legacy members of the leadership team were also introduced.
Beth outlined the Senior Leadership Team’s strategic focus, broken into three categories: People, Product, & Processes with further details provided by members of the Leadership Team.
Winnie shared data comparing 2024 and 2025 Spring Sales, highlighting out-of-stock times and related sales declines. Spring 2026 will include increased swatch counts and deeper buys. The Stylist App now includes real-time inventory statuses, including ETAs on fabric replenishment.

Speaker: Interim CEO Beth Putman Williams – Event in a Box
A field-initiated pilot led by Stylists Trish Mitchell and Linda Kickham was announced. The project aims to generate leads at high-profile events. A document with replicable steps will be shared field-wide. The Home Office is co-investing in this project and re-investing revenue received from it to help support and scale other field-initiated ideas.
Keynote Address “The Future Forward” by TAL CEO Roger Lee
Company Outlook and Executive Vision
Roger presented macroeconomic concerns (tariffs, cost pressures) and emphasized J.Hilburn’s intent to keep investing. He called for consolidated feedback through Stylist Success and OSAT to increase responsiveness and quality.

Roger clarified the legal rationale for franchising and BAO frameworks. Stylist feedback has led to revisions to the framework, which will be reissued. He emphasized all selling channels are equal and announced new access to fit samples and discontinued studio-only exclusives.
Brand Stewardship
Roger announces the appointment of Simon Kneen to the role of Brand President. Simon will oversee brand messaging in public media. A PR agency will help promote J.Hilburn broadly. Simon will represent the brand in media interviews and external communications.
Mill and Partner Acknowledgments

The morning’s General Session closed with a Restyled candle presented to all attendees.
Workshop #1
After the morning’s General Session, Stylists broke out into cohort groups to attend their 1st workshop.
Fireside Chat with Diana Azziz, Annette Dresser, and Lori Powell
During an engaging fireside chat, Stylists Annette Dresser and Lori Powell sat down with new Chief Commercial Officer Diana Aziz to give Stylists a glimpse into her journey, passions, and leadership philosophy. Diana shared stories from her unique background—born in Egypt, raised in Canada and Florida—and unexpected adventures like learning to ride motorcycles and sinking a boat. Her impressive career spans roles at Apple, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Prada, and The Shade Store, with each move driven by a passion for creating meaningful customer experiences. She emphasized her belief in listening and learning, being data-driven, and finding purpose in helping others thrive. Diana’s grounding principle—“there’s no job too small”—reflects her humility and drive, and her decision to join J.Hilburn stems from a desire to build something bold, unique, and impactful.
Stylist App Experience with Nate Lucas & Eugenie Carpenter
Chief Technology Officer Nate Lucas sat down with Stylist Eugenie Carpenter for a candid conversation about the Stylist App. Eugenie shared her initial hesitation and frustrations, recalling how she often reverted to the Green Room to complete tasks. However, with ongoing improvements—thanks in part to feedback from Stylists like her—she now finds the app easier, faster, and more streamlined, especially when creating styleboards. She praised the tech team for listening to user input and highlighted features like simplified product search as major time-savers. Encouraging others to adopt the app early, she advised Stylists to “get an iPad and start using it,” emphasizing how much more efficient it makes client interactions.
July App Challenge – Cash Giveaway
Stylists who qualified during July’s App Challenge were placed in a random drawing for a chance to win $500 or $1000. Five qualifying Stylists were selected to come to the stage and select an iPad case containing cash. The cases were opened one by one to reveal the amount received. Winning Stylists were:
Wendy McCullar – $500
Joy Chang – $500
Susan Ryan-Tierney – $500
Jessica Richau – $500

Special PR Announcement
Brand President Simon Kneen led an insightful presentation on the future of J.Hilburn’s brand, emphasizing the power of storytelling in marketing and the importance of fulfilling client aspirations through personalized, high-quality experiences. He underscored that J.Hilburn is not about shopping like everyone else, but about delivering flawless product, expert fit, and elevated confidence. Simon explored the psychology behind luxury branding, referencing Veblen goods and the aspirational halo effect that enhances perceived value. A highlight of the session was a live Zoom conversation with J.Hilburn’s new PR partner, the Linda Gaunt Communications. Linda and her team, Maggie and Ben, shared their vision for amplifying J.Hilburn’s brand through media exposure in print/online publications, strategic influencer partnerships, and cultivating VIP relationships with public figures who align with the brand’s identity.
Presentation of Fall 2025 Collection by Simon Kneen
Simon discussed the inspiration for the Fall-Winter 2025 collection, which began during a trip to London. On this trip, he saw a Bugatti parked in front of a hotel with a doorman dressed in top hat and tails. He was struck by the contrast of the modern look and feel of the automobile versus the classic quality of the hotel and doorman. He wanted to bring that same contrast of modern luxury and classic heritage to this new collection.
Color Stories in the Collection were inspired by:
Libraries & Archives
Barns & Farms
Flames of Foliage
First Frost
Stables & Horses
New Products and Innovations:
A variety of new styles include the fashion vest, double pleat soft-leg pants, and stand collar options.
The collection includes outerwear, suits, and casual wear, with exclusive fabrics from top mills around the world, including jacquard and velvet.
Fall 2025 Collection Fashion Show
Simon and Nicole walked Stylists through each individual look from the runway show.

Keynote Address “Luxury Redefined” by Dr. Daniel Langer
On the Friday morning of Conference, keynote speaker Dr. Daniel Langer delivered a powerful and thought-provoking address titled Luxury Redefined, challenging attendees to rethink what luxury truly means in today’s rapidly evolving market. He explored how rising prices, eroding consumer trust, and shifting expectations—especially among Gen Z and Millennial clients—have put the luxury industry at a crossroads. Simply selling a product or a dream is no longer enough; today’s clients demand authenticity, emotional connection, and personalized experiences. Dr. Langer outlined four essential pillars for selling luxury: unlocking the client’s emotional key, telling meaningful stories, delivering consistent and memorable experiences, and continually inspiring and surprising clients. He emphasized the critical role Stylists play in making value visible, creating aspiration, and offering undivided attention. Stylists left the session inspired and equipped with a signed copy of his book to continue redefining luxury in their own businesses.

Keynote Address “Start with Why” by Jerry ThompSon III
On Saturday morning of Conference, keynote speaker Jerry ThompSon III delivered an energizing and deeply personal address titled Start with Why, centered on the power of purpose-driven communication and leadership. Drawing on Simon Sinek’s Golden Circle model, Jerry guided Stylists through the difference between what we do, how we do it, and—most importantly—why we do it. He emphasized that your “why” is the articulation of you at your natural best and that your business won’t truly evolve until you do. Using humor, real-life stories, and insights from neuroscience, Jerry highlighted the emotional key to connection, reinforcing ideas from Dr. Langer’s talk. He encouraged Stylists to reflect on their own purpose, embrace authenticity, and lean into their uniqueness to foster deeper, more meaningful relationships with clients. Ultimately, he challenged the audience to lead with their why—because people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.
Stylists Attended Workshop #5
Goal Setting: Commitment for Growth
Stylists participated in a group reflection exercise, sharing ideas such as:
Creating meaningful memories before client appointments.
Adapting to each client’s emotional and practical needs.
Avoiding the trap of becoming a commodity by emphasizing personalization and luxury.
Being deliberate and present in each appointment.
Owning one’s authentic self and creating a unique value proposition.
Stylist Share Out
Several Stylists shared personal stories about nearly retiring, losing motivation, or facing hardship. Conference rekindled their commitment. They emphasized the importance of the J.Hilburn community, peer encouragement, and the meaningful opportunity the business provides to support family, build relationships, and express personal values. New and seasoned Stylists reaffirmed their belief in the company’s direction.
Closing Address by Beth Putman Williams
Beth Putman-Williams, Interim CEO, delivered an emotional closing message recounting her personal story of impact in Ethiopia, drawing a parallel to her commitment to J.Hilburn. She encouraged all Stylists to reflect on their ‘why’ and celebrate the transformation they’ve achieved together. She then welcomed the Home Office team to the stage to give a round of applause to the Stylists attending Conference.
A Stylist-led strategy session focused on building a stronger, more intentional sales strategy to elevate monthly volume. Covers techniques, behaviors, and systems for growing order volume.
